FAQs about 10Pearls LPA process

What is the Lean Product Accelerator™ (LPA), and how does it differ from a traditional discovery phase?

The LPA is a lean, collaborative discovery and strategy workshop designed to align teams on a clear product vision while delivering business, customer, and user value. Whether launching a new product or evolving an existing product, the LPA uses proven methods to validate assumptions, reduce risk, and accelerate confident product decisions and development.

Is the LPA required before moving into development with 10Pearls?

It is highly recommended – the LPA ensures your team is aligned on innovative solutions to key challenges before development starts. It concludes with a detailed MVP roadmap that clarifies technologies, resources, and costs—streamlining development and providing a highly accurate development estimate.

How much involvement is expected from our team during the LPA? Who from our team should participate in the LPA?

The more diverse the representation, the better the outcomes. Ideally, include key stakeholders, including customers and users for a well-rounded perspective. At a minimum, we need a business subject matter expert, a technical lead, and a decision-maker to ensure progress and alignment.

Will engineering be involved, or is this primarily a product and design-led process?

Engineering plays a key role in the LPA. While the process is led by product and design, having technical representation is crucial for identifying feasibility, shaping the technical strategy, and ensuring alignment on how the solution will be built. The collaboration between design, product, and engineering helps us create a more practical and achievable roadmap.

What kind of preparation is needed before starting an LPA?

Prep is minimal—just come with a big problem or opportunity you want to tackle. We’ll deep dive on day one to gain a broad understanding, align everyone, and build a foundation of shared understanding to move forward with speed and confidence.

What deliverables will we receive at the end of the LPA, and how are they used in the next phase of development?

A metric ton* of them – you will walk away from the process with personas, wireframes, user journey maps, technical architecture, feature inventory, and an MVP roadmap. Most importantly, a peace of mind, knowing your team is aligned and your product strategy is solid. These deliverables serve as a blueprint for development, ensuring a clear, streamlined path forward with fewer surprises.

What happens after the LPA is completed?

After the LPA, you’ll have everything you need to move into development with confidence. You can choose to continue working with us to build your MVP using the roadmap and design assets we’ve created, or you can take the deliverables to your internal team or other provider. Either way, you’ll have a clear plan, a shared vision, and a well-defined path forward.
